With near-constant rain, wind, snow and hail battering the country, the weather has certainly been miserable as of late, but we’re not letting that get us down! Here at Hog Roast Maxstoke, we’re nothing if not determined, and so, when the weather is bad we push through in order to make sure that our customers and clients are still able to have a smashing time at whatever event or celebration they have planned.
In recent weeks, this has meant moving a lot of events indoors, like Rochelle’s 40th birthday party, which she had been planning for months beforehand. The theme she had picked for the day was ‘Monte Carlo Casino’, so it was easy enough to take the celebrations inside this time.
She had hired our team to serve our Hog Roast Dining Experience Menu for the occasion. This menu was perfect for boosting the formal and luxurious tone of the party, as it offered guests a choice of canapés, followed by a scrumptious main course with plenty of side options and two desserts.
Eager as ever to impress, Hog Roast Maxstoke, led by catering manager, Lee, started preparations for the buffet 6 hours before the birthday girl and her 150 guests arrived at the venue. And although it might seem like an awfully long time, this is standard for us and ensures that the hog roast is thoroughly cooked and ready to be served.
When Rochelle and the guests arrived, dressed to the nines in their most glamourous ensembles, they were instantly greeted by our waiting staff, who offered each person who walked through the door a glass of champagne and their choice of canapés. These bite-sized snacks went down a treat and got the guests ready for the main course: a juicy hog roast banquet, complete with crackling, stuffing and applesauce, along with classic Caesar salad, gourmet coleslaw and roasted new potatoes. For dessert guests were given the option of chocolate torte or vacherins of strawberries with passion fruit cream.
We’re really pleased with how smoothly Rochelle’s party went, and we’re even more pleased that she has promised to recommend Hog Roast Maxstoke to everyone she knows!
