Maria and her friends first met at primary school and have been close ever since. The group has grown in size as they met new people at secondary school and university, but they have only grown closer. As everyone has grown up and taken on new responsibilities, it is harder to meet up as often as they used to. However, they try to gather together at least once a year as a whole group to enjoy great food and a night of drinks. This year, Maria contacted Hog Roast Daventry to provide catering for their girls’ night, which was taking place at her home in the Midlands. She hired our catering manager Lee to provide a classic hog roast for the occasion, as this is a hearty and delicious meal, yet is casual enough for a girls’ night at home.
In preparation for the event, the Hog Roast Daventry team is planning on arriving at Maria’s home in the afternoon to ensure that we have plenty of time for the 8:00pm serving time. We will begin by preparing the hog and ensuring that it slow-roasts to perfection on the day. The pork will then be carved and served in fresh bread rolls, with gluten-free rolls also available. For the side dishes, we will be providing sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling, as well as homemade chips and a selection of salad dishes. This is set to be a delicious and varied dinner with plenty for every guest to enjoy!
