No matter what age you are, the countdown to Christmas is always a thrilling one. But with so much to do and so little time to squeeze it all in, the weeks leading up to the nation’s most celebrated holiday can also be incredibly hectic – you’ll likely know first-hand, exactly what I’m talking about!
For this reason, it’s nice to be able to take a step back, relax and catch a breath before throwing yourself back into all the festive chaos. And, if you ask anyone here at Hog Roast Bromsgrove, there’s no better way to wind down than with one of our tasty spit roasts. In fact, it seems that many people are in agreement with us on that one as recently, our catering manager, Mark, has had his hands full with bookings which have taken him all over the place.
With tight lockdown rulings blanketing much of the country, our most popular service at the minute is our Gourmet Delivery option, which sees our team deliver exceptional hog roast dishes straight to our client’s doorsteps. And keen to trial the service for himself over the weekend, was Darren.
Like many of you, Darren was feeling exhausted after a busy month of Christmas prep, and to recuperate some energy, he and his wife, Lisa had decided to take the night off of cooking, and instead treat themselves, and the kids to a Hog Roast Bromsgrove delicacy. Mark was all too happy to help the clients settle on the perfect spread, which on this occasion happened to be our classic hog roast menu – with a festive twist!
Mark’s Saturday afternoon was spent preparing the flavoursome feast of soft and succulent tenderised pulled pork, with heavenly side options of crispy crackling, homemade sage and onion stuffing, sweet applesauce, gluten-free rolls and golden fries along with a Christmas treat of mince pies with brandy butter.
With the food complete and carefully packaged, Mark wasted no time in heading to the client’s home, where he swiftly delivered the still piping hot goods in a socially distanced manner. The family loved every bite of the flavour-filled roast, and are so glad they discovered Hog Roast Bromsgrove!
