Lockdown 2.0 finally came to an end last week, and with lots of festive celebrations to prepare for this month, we couldn’t be more eager to get back to doing what we love most: treating the nation to our stunning hog roasts! But before getting into full-blown Christmas mode, first, it was time for Hog Roast Yate to help our customers and clients reunite with their friends, family and co-workers after a long four weeks in isolation.
For client’s like Wendy, being unable to see the rest of the family for an entire month was tough going, so she thought she would bring everyone back together again by organising a small family-only gathering last Saturday afternoon, where she had plans to treat her loved ones to a tasty meal. With the Hog Roast Yate Gourmet Delivery service now available for all of our customers, arranging the food for this occasion couldn’t have been easier for Wendy, who immediately opted for our southern slow roast menu in a box.
Offering a selection of tasty foods, inspired by classic dishes from America’s deep south, this one-of-a-kind spit roast experience is suited to an all manner of different events. The menu itself is expansive and covers all sorts of tastes and dietary requirements, which was perfect for Wendy’s needs.
In the end, the client opted for a selection of fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs, Cajun spiced whole roast chicken and Texan 24 hour beef brisket with the added vegan-friendly option of BBQ pulled jackfruit for a couple of non-meat-eating guests. Memphis style crunchy coleslaw, mac and cheese, sweet potato wedges and cheese and jalapeno smothered fries were Wendy’s chosen extras on this occasion, and this winning combo didn’t disappoint!
After spending a solid five hours preparing the mouth-watering meal, the Hog Roast Yate team delivered the steaming hot boxes of goods to the client’s door at the agreed time. The crew received a warm and excitable welcome from Wendy, who has since reached out to thank our team for the excellent quality of the food, which went down well with the whole family!
