Care home staff are incredibly vital members of our community and they work around the clock to ensure our loved ones are safe and cared for. Their work became even more essential during the pandemic, as visits were not allowed as frequently and, for many care home residents, their only social interaction came from the staff. Because of this, it is incredibly essential to thank our care home workers in any way that we can! As things begin to return to some form of normality, a local care home thanked their staff with a great work party, catered for by Hog Roast Stratford-Upon-Avon.
With rules on visitations easing in care homes across the country, the staff are finally able to take a step back from being the primary point of both care and socialisation for residents. As a result, they are greatly deserving of an excellent staff party! At a local care home, Hog Roast Stratford-Upon-Avon was hired to cater for a staff party, hosted for cleaners, nurses, carers and managers. The event consisted of music, great food, and a chance to relax with friends and colleagues. For the catering, Hog Roast Stratford-Upon-Avon was asked to provide our slow-roasted pug menu for the 40 guests.
On the day of the event, we arrived 5 hours in advance to roast the hog to perfection. Alongside the meat, we served homemade applesauce, sage and onion stuffing, home style fries, crispy crackling, and fresh bread rolls and wraps. These dishes combined to create a tasty lunchtime meal for the guests- which was a big improvement from the salads and sandwiches they usually enjoy.
Following on from the main course, we also provided profiteroles and cheesecake for the guests to enjoy. This was a great way to end the catering and was lots of fun for the guests. They were well deserving of some time to relax and this was the perfect opportunity!
