Pancake celebrations – Hog Roast Harbury

A logistic giant decided to treat their hard-working staff to a pancake day treat! Booking Hog Roast Harbury to deliver mouth-drawling pancakes and tasty toppings for 200 people. Hog Roast Harbury would be feeding the day-staff on Wednesday and then returning for an earlier shift on the Thursday for the night-staff. No one will therefore miss out on the treat – bonus!

Hog Roast HarburyOn Wednesday, Hog Roast Harbury arrived on site for half 9am to set up and start cooking the pancakes. They would start serving from midday until 3pm to ensure they catch each of the staff breaks throughout the day. Each staff member would receive two hot pancakes with a topping of their choice, served into takeaway boxes and popped on a separate table to ensure a covid-secure approach.

On Thursday, Hog Roast Harbury had the earlier arrival time of 6am so that they could set up and prepare for the half 7am serve.

The staff had the choice of three toppings to have on their pancakes:

  1. Double chocolate – a gooey and rich Belgium chocolate sauce drizzled over sweet and delicate white chocolate drops that melts by the heat of the pancake.
  2. Traditional – a sprinkling of sugar and squirt of lemon juice.
  3. Banoffee – a medley of sticky and sweet toffee and chocolate sauces, topped with delightful toffee chunks, fresh sliced banana and squirts of light and fluffy cream.

Whatever choice the staff made, they were in for a real treat!

As the serve came to an end on the Wednesday, it was obvious that the staff’s favourite topping was the double chocolate, followed closely by the traditional pancake topping with only a handful opting for banoffee. Hog Roast Harbury guessed it was because it contained fruit and if you’re going to indulge in a naughty treat, might as well make the most of it with double chocolate especially!

The night shift crew enjoyed all three toppings equally and were thrilled that they were remembered for the treat!

Why not treat your staff to a pancake treat next week? Or perhaps next year?
