With several lockdown restrictions still in place, we’re excited to share that our clients have been getting more and more creative with ideas for their events! In fact, just last weekend, the Hog Roast Lichfield team were asked to serve our southern slow roast menu at a ”lads only” garden party – and what a time we had!
The client, Jeremy, had called us the week before to ask if we had any booking slots available, and to his fortune, we said yes. Jeremy couldn’t have been happier with the news and he went on to tell our Hog Roast Lichfield catering manager all about the exciting day he had planned for himself and his closest friends who he, unfortunately, hadn’t been able to see in months. By now, we all know that feeling well, so our team were eager to help Jeremy have the best reunion possible!
To reaffirm their bond, Jeremy had purchased a projector and home cinema screen which he planned to stream the latest football match on, and our goal (sorry, too cheesy?) was to provide the guests with an unforgettable meal. After reading through our testimonials, Jeremy had opted for our southern slow roast menu which he felt would best fit the vibe he was trying to create. We couldn’t agree more!
On the day of the match, the Hog Roast Lichfield catering crew made the trip to Jeremy’s home, where they were welcomed into the back garden to begin preparations for the afternoon spread. Already, the client had set up the projector along with a few sets of garden-friendly tables and chairs which were protected by a gazebo in case the skies opened up.
Starting with the meats which included BBQ pork butt, Texan 24 hour beef brisket and Cajun spiced whole roast chicken, the crew whipped up a tantalising feast which immediately caught the attention of the arriving guests. To add more flavour variation, the team also served Memphis style crunchy coleslaw, loaded fries and mixed salads in our eco-friendly wooden bowls.
With the match about to start, Jeremy and the guests excitedly loaded their plates with the delicious grub and pulled up a chair.
