Hog Roast Hartshill in Sunny February

What a great weekend for doing a hog roast in Hartshill. Cold, clear and crisp with a clear blue sky. Yes it was a bit chilly at 5am when I first started cooking the hog but it soon warmed up when the sun came out and what a fabulous day for everyone. The party was a christening for young Joshua Smith and what a lovely day they chose. The church was packed with everyone in their best suits. We set up near the rectory garden and greeted everyone with a hot cup of tea and a pork bap. Simple food done very well and everyone left fulfilled in soul and body. Chalk up another successful hog roast in Hartshill for Spitting Pig and a super christening day for young Joshua.
