Hog Roast Frankley Teamed Up With One Of Our Partner Venues To Give One Couple An Incredible Wedding!

Hog Roast Frankley was honoured and privileged to cater for Ella and Michael’s wedding over the weekend! Like most couples, the loved-up pair had been dreaming of their big day for years, and we were thrilled to be able to help them turn those dreams into reality!

Hog Roast FrankleyThe venue the couple had chosen for the occasion was the iconic Lakeside Weddings at Maisemore Court, which is situated on a family-run farm where it boasts spectacular views of the English countryside. The main attractions are the old orchard and the idyllic lake, both of which make for some incredible photo opportunities.

We’re proud to share that this unique location is actually one of Hog Roast Frankley’s partner venues, which made the entire booking process even more seamless for Ella and Michael, as we were able to coordinate with the venue ahead of the big day. Having worked with the lovely team at Lakeside Weddings previously, our caterers knew exactly where to go when they arrived at the venue, and they were able to set up our catering equipment with plenty of time to spare before the celebrations kicked off.

The menu our team prepared for Ella and Michael’s big day was one of our more formal options. It included a drinks service, and canapĂ© options consisting of pan-seared fillet of beef, roasted duck, chicken liver parfait, mini quiche and an Indian selection, which were served to the guests upon their arrival, whilst the bride and groom snuck off for their private photo shoot.

Hog Roast FrankleyWhen Ella and Michael returned, Hog Roast Frankley promptly began carving the spit-roasted pig, which had taken on a beautiful golden colour with black bits in all the right places. The meat inside was soft and succulent and paired wonderfully with the crispy crackling, sage and onion stuffing and applesauce accompaniments.

The veggie and vegan guests were happy not to have been forgotten about, and while the meat enthusiasts tucked into their hog roast rolls, they sat down to our BBQ-pulled jackfruit cobs with vegan coleslaw. Our team had also prepared plenty of salad sides for everyone to enjoy, along with roast potatoes and two delicious desserts.

Ella and Michael couldn’t have asked for a better start to their marriage and were delighted with the quality of the food that Hog Roast Frankley served, which added to the wonderful atmosphere.
