The Hog Roast Daventry team had a great time last week catering for an outdoor event at Old Arngrove Farm. We were hired by Oasis Events to rustle up one of our impressive hog roast feasts for 185 adults and 48 children and provide a menu that would guarantee to please people of all ages!
They selected a very crowd pleasing menu that included one of our signature hog roasts served with crispy cracking and sweet apple sauce, along with creamy coleslaw, a mixture of salads, our homemade sausages and chips, and tasty veggie skewers as the meat-free option, all served on wooden crockery for a fun rustic feel. For an extra treat, they also opted for a duo of tempting desserts and decided that some of our decadent chocolate tortes and indulgent cheesecake would be the ideal way to finish off the meal!
Because the Hog Roast Daventry team are committed to making everything from scratch on-site using only the best locally-sourced ingredients, we arrived several hours before the 5.30 service time and spent the afternoon working hard to freshly prepare every element of the menu whilst our prize pork slowly roasted until it was at its most succulent and irresistible best!
Our friendly catering team were ready to welcome everyone to our serving table right on time and before too long both the adults and kids alike were tucking into a fabulous plate of food whilst they enjoyed the rest of the event! Our unbeatable hog roast went down a storm as always, as did the rest of our freshly made menu, with many of our diners gravitating back in our direction for seconds! Even after all that pork and salad, everyone still somehow had some room for dessert, and we received great feedback about both of our sweet options!
By the time service came to a close at 8pm, everyone was very happy and well-fed, and they were all very pleasantly surprised by the quality for the food we had managed to prepare on-site. It was another great day for the Hog Roast Daventry team, and we can’t wait for our next outdoor event!
