Gymnastics, badminton, weightlifting, hockey, table tennis and beyond – yes, it’s that time again, folks! The Commonwealth Games are returning, and hosting the quadrennial event this time around is England’s manufacturing powerhouse: Birmingham!
As Midlands natives, we couldn’t be more proud that this international sporting tournament, which is sometimes known as the Friendly Games, is coming to a city so close to our hearts, and it seems we aren’t the only ones who feel this way. In the last few weeks, Hog Roast Castle Vale has received many calls from locals who are just as keen to mark this monumental occasion as we are by hosting private celebrations, either at home or at their businesses.
One booking we received, which will be going ahead on the last Friday of the month, will see the Hog Roast Castle Vale team serve a Classic Hog Roast buffet at a local watering hole. As a huge sporting enthusiast and proud Brummie, pub owner, Mitch, has organised an all-day event for his punters, which will include a Commonwealth Games-themed pub quiz, followed by a raffle with loads of brilliant prizes to be won, and, of course, the tournament will be playing on the telly for everyone to see, as well.
Our catering manager, Lee, was delighted to be the one to help Mitch with the preparations for this event, which we’re confident will be a huge success! Mitch, too, is looking forward to the outcome of the celebration and is keen to experience our legendary hog roast for himself – the pictures on our website and reviews from past customers have been enough to assure him that he made the right choice in picking Hog Roast Castle Vale for his function, but we can’t wait until he sinks his teeth into the real thing!
If you fancy doing something to commemorate the Commonwealth Games, remember, you have until the 28th of July until the 8th of August to host your very own party, and now is the perfect time to start planning. Simply reach out to Hog Roast Castle Vale by phone, email or social media, and we’ll get back to you with a quote – it’s that easy!
