Hog Roast Bilston to Save a Lighthouse!

It was Hog Roast Bilston to the rescue last week, after we received a mayday distress call from a local coastal community in desperate need of our help! They had received the upsetting news that their beloved disused lighthouse was in danger of being demolished, and they all knew drastic action was required Northamptonshire - pig3to preserve this important icon of their local heritage. After calling an emergency meeting, the local residents decided to launch an appeal to save the lighthouse and persuade the local authorities to preserve it as a museum for visitors to the area to enjoy, rather than destroying something that had always been such an integral part of the landscape. To attract as much attention to the cause as possible, the community decided to throw a ‘Save the Lighthouse’ party outside the lighthouse itself and invite the local press and as many people as they could from the surrounding area. They needed a catering company who could provide food so good that it would act as an extra incentive to get people to make the journey up to the lighthouse, but who were also capable of cooking at the outdoor coastal venue. When we received the call, Hog Roast Bilston were ready for action and we couldn’t wait to do our bit to help them out!

Accompanied by our incredibly practical and efficient Hogmaster machine, our catering team arrived at the lighthouse to meet the organisers of the event and they remarked how at home our mobile kitchen looked in this rather rugged location! Our adaptable approach and superior equipment makes us feel at home anywhere and even with the sea breeze in our hair on top of a cliff, we can produce consistently impressive results! Our food also achieved the desired results in attendance for the event as well. Whilst our chef was carving and serving our hearty hog roast, the local lighthouse saviours presented their proposal to a very captive audience. By the time the local press arrived, and everyone was tucking into our tender pork and crispy crackling, it seemed impossible the planned demolition could possibly go ahead, with this amount of support! The event organisers were thrilled with the turnout and publicity, not the mention the awesome food Hog Roast Bilston supplied to help them keep their lighthouse safe for future generations to enjoy!
