We’ve spent years ensuring our amazing hog and spit roasts are perfect for every kind of occasion but we’ve always been asked to cater wedding receptions and breakfasts and there’s absolutely no doubt that this will continue for a very long time to come too. When it comes to ensuring everyone invited can enjoy the food at your wedding meal, however, you may be concerned that your guests on special diets won’t be able to enjoy what we serve, but you would be wrong…
If you’ve invited vegetarians to your big day, for example, they will be spoilt for choice with our selection of fresh, homemade dishes that we can serve, including both hot and cold options. For their main course, they may prefer stuffed vegetables or our veggie skewers, quiche or burgers, and they are also able to eat many of our side dishes, starters, and handmade desserts too. Invited a gluten-free guest who wishes they could eat the same succulent pigs in buns as everyone else? With us providing suitable bread rolls for them, they actually can, as the other ingredients are already suitable, including our homemade sage and onion stuffing and apple sauce!
For the main meal at a wedding that we catered at the weekend, Hog Roast Balsall was asked to cook a traditional centrepiece hog in order to make hog roast rolls for around eighty guests, and to provide a vegan and vegetarian option, as well as a gluten-free dish. For this function, we dealt with the wedding planner, Leslie, rather than the happy couple themselves, as we sometimes do, and she was happy to hear that the gluten-free guest could enjoy the pigs in buns, and the vegetarian and vegan could both eat our adapted veggie kebabs – skewered vegetables grilled to perfection.Â
Our Hog Roast Balsall team served up some truly tasty grub at the wedding, and we had many compliments on our speciality pigs in buns, but it was also great to hear that the guests on special diets loved our food too.Â
