Recently, the Hog Roast Worcester team were hired by Sophie for an event she was hosting at the Cross Inn in Eardisland, Leominster. The food was served as a buffet to the guests to encourage a casual atmosphere at the event. Sophie selected the team because of their fantastic reputation and the Hog Roast Worcester team did not disappoint her with their smooth service. The food was served outside under a grand marquee which helped to create a more luxurious feel.
The Hog Roast Worcester team served their Southern Slow Roast menu to Sophie’s guests. The buffet featured a selection of three different meats including Texan 24 hour beef brisket, fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs and Cajun spiced whole roast chickens. The meats were complimented by a selection of sides including Memphis style crunchy coleslaw, corn cobettes, skin-on southern style whole baked potatoes and mixed salads. The main meats were also served with a variety of sauces including Jack Daniels smokey sweet BBQ glaze, Cajun hot pepper sauce and Stubbs legendary hickory bourbon BBQ sauce. As an alternative to the meats, the team also served lightly grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers which went down a treat with all of the vegetarian guests. The buffet was also served on bread rolls and wraps to help keep the food casual.
The Hog Roast Worcester team served their buffet to 40 guests so it was important that the team maintained quality throughout the service. The food was served from 7pm onwards in an outside service so it was important that the food was kept warm in heated metal trays on the buffet table. The food was served on disposable plates with disposable cutlery with napkins. The service was led by the Hog Roast Worcester team’s Catering Manager, Greg, who was really proud of the service his team delivered. The buffet table looked fantastic and really bright and colourful. All of the guests appeared to really enjoy the food and the buffet went down really well. All of food was cooked on site, outside, to ensure that all of the food tasted fantastically fresh.
