Recently, the Hog Roast Aylesbury team were hired by a local client, Lisa, who was hosting an event. The venue at which the event was hosted was a private home located just south of Aylesbury in Princes Risborough. All of the food was cooked on site fresh to ensure that the food was of a really high quality.
The menu selected by Lisa, for the Hog Roast Aylesbury team to cook was the Southern Slow Roast menu which was served on china crockery and metal cutlery at the request of the client. The menu featured a selection of three meats including BBQ pork butt, Cajun spiced whole roast chickens and Creole pulled quarter of spiced lamb. These were served alongside wicker baskets of bread rolls and wraps which helped to give the buffet a casual feel. In addition, a selection of sides including Memphis style crunchy coleslaw, macaroni and cheese, skin-on southern style whole baked potatoes and Greek salad. Moreover, a vegetarian option of lightly grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers was served with pitta breads and a tzatziki dip was served as an alternative to the meat. An addition of chips was also requested and was served alongside a selection of sauces including Jack Daniels smokey sweet BBQ glaze, Cajun hot pepper sauce and Stubbs legendary hickory bourbon BBQ sauce.
The buffet was to be served to 120 people so it was important that the team made enough food to serve to everyone that attended the event. The guests were to arrive at 1pm so the client requested for the Hog Roast Aylesbury team to serve the food at 1:30pm. It was crucial for the team got all of the food out on time, especially for such a large event. The Hog Roast Aylesbury team’s Catering Manager, Greg, did a great job of leading the team through the service. The team were really friendly to all of the guests and helped to create a really atmosphere at the event. Overall, the event was a fantastic success and both the team and the client were really pleased with the outcome of the event.
