Hog Roast Dursley – A feast of pigs in buns and veggie skewers for sixty

Hog Roast DursleyFor an event that we catered over the weekend, Hog Roast Dursley cooked up a storm with one of our hog roast centrepieces but we also happily satisfied vegetarian guests too, with one of our lovely homemade dishes. We’re often asked to cater for special diets, and with advance notice, we can always do this, whether you need a suitable dish for gluten-intolerant, vegetarian or vegan guests or another diet. You may be surprised to find out that we can also easily cater with alternative meaty dishes if needed, like spit-roasted animals or birds or barbecued or marinated meat and we also have all kinds of supplemental dishes available too, including starters, desserts hot and cold sides and handmade canapés. We really do have something for everyone.

On Saturday afternoon, our chef and team members headed to a lovely large hotel to meet our customer Barney, who had pored over our menus and ummed and ahhed over whether to have us cater with loaded fries, a winter warmer, our Southern Slow Roast or a hog roast for his main meal. Having decided on the latter, Hog Roast Dursley made a great feast of pigs in buns for most of Barney’s sixty guests after roasting the hog for five hours, making our own apple sauce and stuffing and then filling bread rolls and wraps with meat, crackling and the trimmings, as well as grilled veggie skewers for the vegetarians, and we served and served until everyone was completely satisfied.
