Hog Roasting has been an established tradition for many years now and who would have thought that what started out as the cavemen roasting on a stick has developed into well designed machinery that produce such fantastic results. Here at Hog Roast Bilston we always remember how far hog roasting has come and even how far we have come since we started out! We now have many teams who head out catering, allowing us to cover all of the hog roast events in Bilston, especially on busy weekends!
Hannah was very prepared and had booked her event catering in advance as she didn’t want us to be booked up and her and her guests left disappointed as they all wanted a hog roast. Hannah’s family are very traditional too and enjoy regular family parties and get togethers, for the most recent family party it was Hannah’s turn to host it at her house and she had mentioned having a hog roast when they last gathered at Easter so she didn’t want to let them down.
Hannah had a large garden for us to set up in, with plenty of tables and chairs laid out for everyone to soak up the sunshine we at Hog Roast Bilston headed over to the patio to set up our gazebo and prepare all of our sides and salads while our hog was cooking to perfection. Luckily the weather was on our side today and it was a beautiful day and we definitely needed the gazebo to protect the staff and the food from the rays! Hannah’s guests however couldn’t get enough of the sun and were having a great time, the smells were filling the garden and with some very hungry guests they were eagerly awaiting the delicious pulled pork!
However you can’t rush perfection, and just on time for 5.30pm we lifted out our hog ready to start carving, the guests gathered in awe and we passed a bowl of crackling round for them to nibble on while they watched us tear apart the succulent pulled pork! The rolls and wraps went down a treat stuffed with pork, apple sauce and stuffing paired with the lovely colourful salads on a hot summers day!
The family are now hoping Hannah does all the next family parties, and her brother Ben is dreading the next one he’s hosting as she has definitely set the standard! He did take one of our Hog Roast Bilston cards so I am sure we will be seeing them all again in the next few months.
