This week’s event led us over hill tops, under bridges and down quiet little country roads to a little village called Cookhill. What made this event so special from the other events we have done? Well I can tell you, hog roast Cookhill got to experience what it was like to be living in the olden days, well not exactly but as near as! With all the straw top buildings and milk churns sitting outside people’s houses, we also got a taste of the events that happened many years ago.
Hog roast Cookhill is only a small village located just of the A441, We finally arrived at our destination raring to go we popped the prepped 50 kg hog in the machine. The smell of the hog roast drifted through the air, you could see curtains twitching and people slowly making their way outside. Throughout the night we had many neighboring people coming up to us asking how we get it so perfect, but unfortunately for them, this wasn’t there event!
Hog roast Cookhill were catering for a surprise party that a jolly old lady had arranged for her grandson’s 21st. Although they were only a small party for about 20 people everybody had a great time.
They was a bucking bull on site for the kids to enjoy (as well as the adults!), and as the sun set people started cracking open the beers and lodged back there recliner chairs and enjoyed the last of the hog roast which had been slowly cooking many hours before. The best part of the night for me (as well as people enjoying my delicious hog roast and coming back for more!) was the kids getting on that bucking bull, seeing their faces as they fell off was a real joy to watch! Cookhill was an absolute pleasure to cater for and we would be delighted to cater for the people of Cookhill again!
