With divorce rates on the rise and fewer people choosing to get married in the first place, it’s certainly not every day that Hog Roast Frankley is granted the opportunity of attending a Pearl Wedding Anniversary celebration!
Making it to thirty years of marriage is an incredible feat, to say the very least, and we are thrilled that Charles and Angela chose us to be part of their all-important milestone.
The pair, who are as head over heels for each other as they were on the day they tied the knot, had been thinking of ways to mark their Pearl Anniversary for months. They had toyed with the idea of booking a once-in-a-lifetime excursion but ultimately decided that what they wanted most of all was to celebrate with all their loved ones around them.
This led them to plan a large celebration at a prestige events hall close by. The function room they selected boasted plenty of room for all 140 guests invited, and with Hog Roast Frankley chosen to handle the food, Charles and Angela didn’t have to worry about how they were going to feed everyone!
Our catering manager, Lee, had introduced the pair to a menu that was not only well within their budget, but also offered a range of different food options to suit every appetite. The feast in question was our Southern Slow Roast Menu, which Hog Roast Frankley spent several hours preparing on the day of the event.
Using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients from nearby farms, Hog Roast Frankley prepared a buffet of Texan 24-hour beef brisket, Cajun-spiced whole roast chickens, fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs and BBQ-pulled jackfruit buns with sides of Memphis-style crunchy coleslaw, macaroni and cheese and mixed sweet potato and regular fries. This stunning banquet was served up with a selection of sauces, gluten-free rolls and wraps, which gave the guests complete freedom to customise the flavours of each dish.
Charles and Angela’s anniversary celebration couldn’t have gone better. The couple had a great time catching up with friends and family and celebrating their long-lasting love. They were also over the moon with the presentation and the flavours of the food Hog Roast Frankley prepared, which had the guests queuing up for more helpings!
