Recently, Hog Roast Solihull has been hired to plan a catering menu for a school leavers ball taking place at a function room in the Midlands. The school hosts an event for the sixth-form leavers each year to celebrate their hard work in completing their required formal education, which is a great success! For the last few years, Hog Roast Solihull has catered for the event and it is always a fun and rewarding occasion for the students. Our catering manager Lee has always provided our classic hog roast menu for the event, with a few additional dishes, and it always goes down successfully. This year we are planning on providing the same menu and we expect it will be just as successful as ever.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Solihull team will arrive at the function room in the afternoon and prepare our menu for the 8:00pm serving time. We will start by slow-roasting the hog, which requires around five hours to cook to perfection. Once ready, the pork will be expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we will be serving BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious alternative to pulled pork. For the side dishes, the guests can enjoy homemade chips, corn cobettes, creamy mac and cheese, and a fresh green leaf salad. This menu has plenty for everyone to enjoy and more than enough to go around, including enough for seconds!
