We have specialised in providing first-class catering for many years now (we started over 30 years ago!) and it’s great to hear when people spread the word about our hog and spit roasts. When Dolly called us to arrange a hog roast Foston for her husband Jim’s 75th birthday celebration, she had been recommended to us by a close friend, and she was excited for Jim to try this kind of freshly-cooked meat for the first time on his special day.
Our party catering service is one that we’re very proud of and our staff always go the extra mile to ensure that your function is a great success. For Jim’s party on Sunday, Dolly asked us to cook a winter warmer menu, which we actually offer from autumn onwards every year. The winter warmer is your choice of meat cooked from scratch at your venue, and your choice of seasonal vegetables, as well as any extras that you might require, like our delicious homemade gravy, stuffing, and sauces. Now that the nights are closing in, especially if you’re having an outdoor event, it can be really warming to enjoy a full plate of hot meat and steaming veg. However, we still offer our usual menus if you prefer to have salad, hog roast rolls or anything else your heart desires.
Dolly asked us to provide a winter warmer hog roast Foston, which we would cook at her family home, together with a nice big tray of roasted carrots, parsnips, courgettes and butternut squash, which we are able to cook in the hog roasting machine, too. Our machines are so versatile that you cook a full meal in them! Dolly also requested a couple of jacket potatoes and grated cheese for a vegetarian guest.
On the day of the party, thankfully the weather held up, as it was due to pour it down. We were well prepared to cook under one of our gazebos anyway, and pass the food inside if needed, but the guests were all able to enjoy all the food outside. Jim loved his first ever hog roast Foston and has already booked us in for their Christmas party.
