The past few weeks we have had a spot or two of rain not to worry though as we have bee promised a bit more sun in September feels great knowing there is more to come! We were catering for a birthday party doing a hog roast in Caldecott  on Saturday a thirtieth birthday for the local librarian a lovely lady who is sought highly in the Caldecott community, the party had actually been arranged by the local council and they wanted to thank her for all her dedication she had shown the past year as the library had been going though such a bad patch with the threat of closure but some how this lady fought all the officials and the library was to stay! We arrived at her home and were met by the council officials who were now good friends with the lady all had clubbed together out of their own pockets to pay for the day the lady was so moved! Chicken and pork with all the extras were made and the smell well what can we say incredible so scrummy! We  greeted the guests upon arrival with a tipple and soon the party was in full swing the band played in the corner of the garden setting the scene and all were tapping there feet and smiling in no time, we did our magic and soon had a crowd of hungry guests waiting to be fed and we were carving and serving in no time, the meat just fell apart and was so full of goodness our meats come from a farmer we have used from day one and he has a great name and we wouldn’t ever go anywhere else for our meat he really is one of a kind! Soon everyone was dancing and the wine was flowing freely and we really felt like joining in the dancing if only we weren’t working we would have joined in with the dancing oh what fun and a few glasses of wine would have went down really well, we love hog roasting in Caldecott and it makes us smile from eat to ear.
