Beautiful Anniversary Dinner

A special sit-down spit roast dinner was what the guests at an anniversary dinner were treated to when myself and the spitting pig team kicked into gear yesterday. The Spitting Pig menu was a line-up of catering classics and new modern dishes, from canpes to starters – and then there was the main event, the drawing card of the evening, a whopping great pig, 70kg in weight, seasoned, skewered and spit for several hours to draw out delectable flavours and the fullest state of taste bud heaven.
“Wow” was the collective response from the event attendees as they sunk their teeth into the delectable Spitting Pig food. Instantly, when the food was served, the event took on a new direction, it was the spit roast that mattered, that’s what the guests wanted to chat about and focus on, and who can blame them, really? The impact of a spitting pig hog roast for the event was invaluable – come the end of the evening it was still a contender for the talk of the event, with only the celebrating couple taking some of the limelight away from the succulent roast pig!
An hour or two later, with only scraps left, it was time for us to give our hog roast area a little cleaning over, get our equipment and machines packed into our van, and say our goodbyes to the guests, as well as wishing a happy anniversary to Karen and Frank. It was a perfect day with a perfect hog roast, I can’t wait for more of the same going into the back-end of the year.
