During the day on Saturday Faye & Becky travelled to Walsall in Birmingham. The Asda Superstore were running a fund raising event for the Tickled Pink Breast Cancer Campaign and asked for us to be part of this and provide their hungry customers with our delicious Spit Roasted Pork, Beef and Gammon, with a donation of our proceeds going straight to the charity. The weather was perfect and the store was very busy. A young man was caged up for the day until customers had donated enough money to lift the cage from him. He was ravenous when he emerged from his cell and headed straight to our stand to dig in to a giant pork and stuffing roll, with plenty of crackling of course! We raised plenty of money and were asked to return Sunday for part two of their fund raising campaign! This was also an excellent opportunity for us to spread the word of Spitting Pig Midlands and we received over 30 enquiries for jobs for 2010 and 2011. A very successful day indeed.
