Hog Roast Oldbury’s catering team are experts in focusing on the extra special details, making a happy couple’s wedding day even more memorable. That is exactly what the team achieved on a summer afternoon in August for our guests Nikki and Phil.
Nikki and Phil brought together th
eir nearest and dearest for an intimate gathering, the couple celebrated with love, laughter and even better food. An unforgettable feast was prepared by the talented Hog Roast Oldbury team and by 2:30pm, the aroma of flavour drifted across the venue and our guests were more than ready to fill their plate after a busy morning of celebrations.
To get the guests appetites moving, there was a selection of delicious starters on offer which were all crowd-pleasers and family favourites, meaning there was something for everyone from the moment the feast began. From platters canapes of tender chicken satay skewers and mini pizzas, to crispy beer battered fish and chips, as well as fillet of beef and yorkshire puddings. With such a range of starters on offer, plates filled up fast and the guests were eagerly awaiting what was to follow.
There were two main events on offer, either a joint of slow roasted pork or a sirloin of beef, both bursting with flavour and perfectly paired with our refreshing sides, for the perfect summer evening meal. Of course, all dietary requirements are considered so that no guest goes unnoticed, meaning our signature vegetarian and vegan dishes were on offer and everyone felt included.
As mentioned, the sides were light and summery, adding a bit of colour and freshness to the tasty meats. A selection of salads including a tomato and mozzarella salad, crisp leafy greens and creamy coleslaw, as well as herby new potatoes which completed the plates, piled high to perfection.
What is a celebration without a sweet treat? Just as the guests thought they couldn’t possibly take another bite, enter the delicious desserts! With a choice of chocolate covered strawberries, the perfect romantic touch or an indulgently sweet sticky toffee pudding for those with a sweet tooth.
Every dish was served on gleaming china crockery, adding a touch of class to an already beautiful setting. We thoroughly enjoyed being a part of such a heartwarming experience.
Hog Roast Oldbury made sure that every guest was considered, they took care of not only the food but creating a memorable event for everyone involved, especially the happy couple. This meant that Nikki and Phil could sit back and relax, focusing on the important things like experiencing their first meal as a married couple, their first dance and creating brand new memories with the people who mean the most to them.
