This weekend, we had the pleasure of catering a very special joint celebration at the beautiful Hayes Gate Farm near Oakamoor, Stoke-on-Trent. The event brought together family and friends to mark two wonderful milestones, a 40th wedding anniversary and a 60th birthday. With 50 guests gathered under a summer sky, it was the perfect setting for our flavour-packed Hog Roast Stoke-on-Trent Southern Slow Roast menu.
Our team, led by Catering Manager Lee, arrived early to fire up the roasters and prepare the mouth-watering centrepieces. Guests were treated to a trio of slow-cooked delights: BBQ pork butt, Texan 24-hour beef brisket, and Cajun spiced whole roast chickens. Each was cooked to perfection, tender, juicy, and infused with rich, smoky flavours.
We served these alongside an irresistible selection of bread rolls and wraps, including wholemeal and gluten-free options on request. To add even more punch to the meal, guests could choose from our smokey sweet BBQ glaze, our bold and fiery Cajun hot pepper sauce, and our legendary hickory bourbon BBQ sauce.
Vegetarian and vegan guests were equally spoilt for choice, with grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers (halloumi-free for vegans) served with wraps, tzatziki, and a vibrant sweet chilli sauce. Accompaniments included a fresh Greek salad, indulgent mac & cheese, homemade gourmet coleslaw, and a mix of sweet potato and traditional fries – all served on eco-friendly bamboo crockery with wooden cutlery.
As the evening unfolded, the atmosphere was relaxed and joyous, with guests enjoying generous helpings and sharing stories over plates piled high with slow-roasted goodness. Our Hog Roast Stoke-on-Trent menu proved the perfect match for the occasion, a hearty, flavour-filled feast for all.
