Hog Roast Churcham – Pig Roasts by the Pool for a Cool 80th with Hog Roast Churcham

What says summer to you? Trips to the beach? A barbecue in park, perhaps? Beers in the garden with friends and family? Or is it days spent soaking up the sun by the pool, with the occasional dip to cool you down before tucking into a glorious lunch?

We know which one we’re picking at Hog Roast Churcham this summer, and it’s the pool and dining option. And, based on our highlighted event from this past weekend, we’re not the only ones!

Yes, over the first weekend of June the Hog Roast Churcham team got right into the swing of things with a proper summer event, as we played dining hosts to an extra special poolside 80th birthday celebration. We’re talking dips in the pool followed by a glorious hog roast lunch, just as we had envisioned of our perfect summer – and it has come right away in the very first week! Peter, the birthday boy, played host to a whopping 130 of his friends and family for this incredibly special 80th celebration. As much as the Hog Roast Churcham team would have loved to take a dip in the pool ourselves – especially with these temperatures! –, that many guests meant we had to get our skates on to prepare an incredible hog roast capable of feeding everyone.

Fortunately, even just one of our signature pork roasts can feed 100 guests alone, so then coupled with our immense sides and accompaniments, you have a feast well paired for however many guests you need. 130? No problem! In fact, with all that we prep to go alongside our hog roast, you could probably get in seconds if you jumped in quick!

Joining our hog roast: 86 butcher’s quality sausages, BBQ pulled jackfruit as a veggie alternative, mixed salad, red cabbage slaw, gluten free rolls, and a follow up dessert of homemade individual cheesecakes and profiteroles – so no need for those seconds at all! With so much to feast on, the only drawback was having guests then wait to digest before getting back into the pool for a swim!
