What better way to celebrate an unforgettable football season than with great company, well earned awards and a tasty feast fresh from the grill? That’s exactly what guests enjoyed when Hog Roast Launton catered the end of season presentation event for Launton Sports Football Club on this Tuesday, 26th May.
This event was held at Launton Playing Fields and brought together 50 players, coaches, family members and supporters to celebrate the season’s achievements in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. With trophies being handed out, team stories being shared from the season and everyone enjoying a well deserved celebration, the afternoon was filled with community spirit from start to finish. To make the occasion even more memorable, our friendly catering manager Lee and the Hog Roast Launton team served up one of our classic hog roast menu options, providing guests with a delicious buffet style meal that was perfect for the relaxed football club setting. The centrepiece of the menu was our tender slow roasted pork, prepared on site in advance and carved fresh in front of our guests, for an extra interactive touch whilst they built their perfect plate with the meat, sides and bread rolls or wraps.
Alongside the hog roast, guests could tuck into a varied selection of freshly prepared sides, including seasonal green leaf salad, creamy coleslaw and tomato and mozzarella salad. To complete the meal, guests chose from one of our tasty potato options, creating the perfect balance of comforting favourites and fresh flavours. Our team at Hog Roast Launton, know how important it is to cater for all guests, which is why vegetarian and vegan options are always available at every event we cater for and the grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers in particular, proved incredibly popular throughout the afternoon. Everyone was able to enjoy the same relaxed dining experience together, no matter their dietary preferences or requirements.
The use of wooden bamboo crockery and cutlery added a relaxed touch to the event which was something many guests appreciated, as people weren’t confined to one table or seating area, which meant everyone could enjoy the event however they wanted and be present in the moment. Our team ensured the buffet remained fully stocked and well presented throughout service, allowing everyone to focus on enjoying the celebrations.
